Experience stunning vistas and a sense of nostalgia at Tsutenkaku Tower, an iconic symbol of Osaka’s vibrant Shinsekai neighborhood.

MK Guide Recommends

Standing 103 meters tall above the retro dreamscape of Shinsekai, Tsutenkaku Tower is among Osaka’s most enduring landmarks. Originally built in 1912 and reconstructed in 1956, the tower offers one of the best views of Osaka from above and a chance to rub the feet of Billiken, the golden “god of Things as They Ought to Be,” born from an American dream and somehow finding a lasting home in Osaka, of all places.

A symbol of a future that never quite arrived, the tower oozes Osaka's charm in its purest form.
