A dedicated museum honoring the rich history and legacy of Japan’s iconic Hanshin Koshien Stadium.

MK Guide Recommends

Baseball is a religion in Japan, and Koshien is its temple. Every spring and summer, the nation turns its attention here for the National High School Baseball Tournament, where teenage players carry the weight of their dreams onto the field. This isn’t something buried on ESPN 86. It’s a national event that stops the country. Many future legends, including Shohei Ohtani, Hideki Matsui, and Daisuke Matsuzaka, played here long before they reached Major League Baseball.

Constructed in 1924, the stadium also serves as the home of the Hanshin Tigers, the team with the rowdiest fans in Japan, black and yellow all day, every day. Their devotion has become part of Kansai folklore. The Museum of Hanshin Koshien Stadium offers guided access to areas such as the bullpen, benches, and warm-up zones, alongside exhibits that trace the stadium’s history. An English app helps bridge the language barrier. You can step onto the field, take photos, and feel what it’s like to stand where generations of players first tested their fate.
