An innovative immersive art installation in which visitors actively participate as part of the artwork.

MK Guide Recommends

teamLab Planets TOKYO DMM is an immersive, body-centered digital art environment in Toyosu designed to dissolve the boundary between viewer and artwork. Visitors move barefoot through large-scale installations where light, sound, reflection, and water respond directly to presence and motion. Rather than observing from a distance, the experience requires physical participation—walking through shallow water, navigating mirrored voids, and passing through spaces that shift continuously in color and form. Created by the art collective teamLab, the exhibition emphasizes perception, impermanence, and interconnectedness over narrative or instruction. Defined by total immersion and sensory disorientation, teamLab Planets functions as a contemporary art environment that is entered, inhabited, and felt rather than simply viewed.
