Discover the natural charm of Minoo Park, a peaceful retreat with picturesque trails and the beautiful Minoo Waterfall.

MK Guide Recommends

Surprising to many, Osaka has some genuinely beautiful natural escapes. Just north of the city, beyond the often gray and neon urban sprawl, lies Minoo Park, one of Japan’s smallest national parks. What it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in lush scenery and dense foliage.

The standout here is the 33-meter cascading Minoo Waterfall, along with the historic Ryuan-ji Temple. It’s the perfect day trip, especially in autumn when visitors flock here for the momiji. It’s also ideal for an easy hike, flat and without real challenge. An underrated spot many miss, offering a peaceful day on the outskirts of the city.
