Bar Shiki embodies the spirit of Japan’s four seasons—each drink crafted around the moment, not a menu. Tucked on the second floor of a modest building in Higashishinsaibashi, the bar adopts a restrained, almost meditative approach to mixology. Ingredients are fresh and often hyper-local: yuzu, sansho, kinmokusei, and spring herbs appear depending on the day. The bartender works in near silence, letting infusions, garnishes, and temperature speak for themselves. With only a few seats, the space feels more like a tea ceremony than a bar—still warm and deeply focused. Reservations or visits during off-peak hours are recommended.
