Explore the history and brewing methods behind Japan’s popular Asahi beer with a tour and tasting at the Asahi Suita Brewery.

MK Guide Recommends

In Japan, Asahi is one of the big three beer companies waging a quiet war for supremacy, and this is their fortress, where brews have been crafted since 1891. The tour is conducted in Japanese, but an app is available for English speakers, making it easy to follow along. It’s about a 40-minute train ride from Dotonbori.

This is a place to make your inner Homer Simpson very happy, as two drinks are served after you learn the history and inner workings of Asahi. Fittingly, Asahi means “rising sun,” a quiet nod to the country in which you find yourself.
