Once the tallest skyscraper in all of Japan and still the tallest in Osaka, Abeno Harukas rises dramatically from the Tennoji area, standing 300 meters above the city. A quick elevator ride to the 60th floor delivers a view fit for an angel, looking out over one of Japan’s most character-filled cities.
It’s also a great place to have a beer, with a view that overlooks it all, where the skyline stretches endlessly in every direction. The building itself offers far more than just the view, with extensive shopping, an art museum, and even a hotel, making it worth lingering longer than a quick trip to the top.
Aside from Umeda Sky Building, if you have time for only one view in Osaka, make it this one. Come for the sunset, stay for the beer.
